Crocco theorem — where it appears

The identity relating a steady flow's entropy gradient to its vorticity and its stagnation-enthalpy gradient. It says an inviscid flow is irrotational only if its entropy is uniform, which is why a curved shock leaves vorticity behind and a straight one leaves none.
